Here is a good thread I found in Minitokyo on Photoshop. It gives you a list of tutorials so you can learn how to make new effects!

There are also two tutorials for photoshop on my site, but they are pretty basic.
Hmm...when I make my wallpapers, I usually extract the character from their original image first. (obviously). You can always leave the character in their original picture and work around it too.

Then I find some other pics that go with the character (usually nature scenes) and incorporate them into the wallpaper. If I dont have any nature scenes, then I use brushes that I find at other sites and I use those in the background. For example, in Kingdom for A Princess, I couldnt find any indoor pictures of castles so I used flower brushes for the background. When I first used pink it looked really plain so I used...I think 2 other colors? I dont really remember.

It also helps if you go around minitokyo and have a look at the recent wallpapers. I get alot of my inspirations and ideas by looking at other wallpapers.

hi hime! Im sorry Im replying so late! Minitokyo had that whole crash thing and I couldnt respond. I also dont really check the comments part under the wallpapers because no one really comments there
im glad you like my wallpapers, but seriously they are NOTHING compared to what people put up here. I know exactly how you feel! OMG when I first found minitokyo i went NUTS! hehe I downloaded EVERYTHING literally. Umm.. to tell you the truth, I'm also kinda new to minitokyo so I really have not clue about the credits. I seriously cant tell the difference between the credits and the download quota, because when I download, sometimes the download quota says 0, but I can still download and it starts taking my credits. So I cant really help with that I guess you could try browsing the forums for that. This place is so confusing im sure we arent the only ones getting lost.
